A HEARTFELT THANK YOU
Before we move on to a new topic, I would like to pause and express a genuine and heartfelt thank you to all of you who have engaged with me in reading, reflecting, and taking some action in response to these “Connections.”
You are the Gift!
What a blessing you have been to me with your words of affirmation about “loving” the posts; sharing how they have prompted you to pause; to remember; to appreciate and express it to someone in your life; to share the Denzel Washington clip in a sermon; to applaud yourself because you see you are already practicing some of these gifts and be encouraged by that; to recall what you were doing at age 10 that you see as your most fulfilling activity to rekindle today. One of you even inquired if I plan to assemble the Gifts in one packet so that you can have them all in one place to reflect upon and be refreshed by in your quiet time.
Remember when we started the Gifts Series, I shared that my hope was that we actually “connect” across virtual space? Who is a writer with no one to read? Who am I without someone to whom I can give or contribute, which takes us once again to calling and purpose we explored in one of the Gifts?
If it weren’t for your response, I am not sure that I would persist in this writing discipline.
As my husband often reminds me, “Hard writing makes good reading.” He is such an encourager that he should be given special credit here for the number of hours he has been left to his own devices while I immersed myself in these topics.
Reader Inquiries:
Q: “Is it okay if I forward your Gifts posts to others?”
JW: Absolutely! We would love that. Feel free to share these thoughts widely.
Q: “I love the cheat sheet! Can I share it?”
JW: That’s fun to hear, too. Yes, of course you may share it. All we ask is that the source of the writing be included.
Q: “With all your offerings, is there one in particular where you feel best? If so, is there a way to make that stand out?”
JW: Most all of our offerings rely on meaningful conversation… the kind of professional conversation that can be joyful, challenging, transformative, enlightening… always important.
The purpose of your conversations with us might include one or more of the following paths:
· Healing
· Clarity
· Spiritual discernment
· Soul Care
· Forgiveness
· Perspective-taking
· Figuring things out
· Strengthening relationships
· The purpose of your choice
Thank you for asking, because you really caused me to think about our sweet spot and how well we have conveyed it.
